Sunday July 18
- 5p.m to 6p.m – Registration and packet pick-up, Hilton bella Harbor, C and B Scene Bar.
- 6p.m – Skippers meeting, Hilton Bella Harbor, outdoor patio
- 7p.m – Start and finish at lighthouse.
Presentation of Rotary grants and party at Hilton Bella Harbor, outdoor patio after the race
Monday, July 19
- 7 p.m. – Start and finish at lighthouse
- Afterparty at Dodie’s Restaurant
Tuesday, July 20
- 7 p.m – Start and finish at lighthouse
- Afterparty at Agave’s Restaurant
Wednesday, July 21
- 7 p.m – Start at lighthouse, finish at Rush Creek Yacht Club
- Afterparty on the RCYC’s new deck
Thursday, July 22
- 7 p.m. – Start at RCYC, finish at Bass Pro Shops
- Afterparty at Flying Saucer
Friday, July 23
- 7 p.m – Start at Bass Pro Shops, finish at lighthouse

Dallas Race Week 2010 on Lake Ray Hubbard
Dallas Race Week 2010 starts this coming Sunday July 18th and continues through Friday July 23rd, 2010. Dallas Race Week is the annual premier sailing event in North Texas.
In 2009, the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Foundation Raised over $15,000 that will go directly towards Rockwall area community projects.
Dallas Race Week is a corporate sponsored sailing event benefiting community service projects of the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club.
The mission is to provide funding for programs that address issues of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and health care affecting the Rockwall area community.
The motto is “Sail Into Service” and it represents the value
placed on teamwork by sailors and community servants throughout
history. Your participation in and support of this exciting event insures the continuation of projects and programs benefiting the citizens of the Rockwall area community.

Dallas Race Week 2009 – Benefits Rockwall Breakfast Rotary – Episode #57
Evan tells you more about how Dallas Race Week gives back to the community by donating proceeds to Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club which meets on Tuesday mornings at 7am in Rotary Hall. Some ways Rotary has helped the Rockwall area are:
- Kid Zone Children’s Park- Harry Myers Park -Rockwall (we built it in 2004!)
- Annual Teacher of the Year Awards
- High School Scholarships
- Free New Eye Glasses for Local Needy RISD School Children
- Free New Winter Coats for Local Needy RISD School Children
- Free School Supplies for Local Needy RISD School Children
- Camp RYLA Leadership Program for High School Juniors entering Senior year.
- International Youth Exchange Student Scholarship Program
- Annual Helping Hands Mothers-in-Need Baby Shower

Dallas Race Week 2009 – History and Overview – Episode #56
Evan Matteson gives you a brief history and overview of Dallas Race Week, the premier sailboat race on Lake Ray Hubbard every year.

- DRW was conceived by Scott Self after he and 11 other Chandlers Landing Yacht Club members competed and won their division in the 1978 Antigua Race Week.
- First DRW was held in 1982, so the 2009 DRW is the 27th year of the race.
- Proceeds benefit Rockwall Breakfast Rotary and last year raised over $17,500!
- Typically there are some 40-60 boats in the race which totals all crew members to around 300 competing every night.
- In the past, sailors have included World Champions, National Champions, Olympic Champions and Regional Champions.
- DRW is always held the week of June 22nd, the longest day of the year and starts on Sundays and runs through Friday Night.
