Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp. has recognized Coldwell Banker Apex as a top firm in closed sales nationwide.
“Coldwell Banker Apex continues to grow and earn recognition as one of the top Coldwell Banker firms in the nation,” says Tom Lainson, business consultant for Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp. “They perform consistently and at top levels even in a more challenging real estate market.”
Coldwell Banker Apex was recognized as the fifth largest Coldwell Banker affiliate in the United States for the first quarter of 2008 based on closed sales for the period.
“We want to congratulate each of our hardworking sales associates for the dedication it takes to achieve this level of production,” says Lori Arnold, president of the firm. “Our associates represent the best of the best in the real estate industry, and we are proud of each and every one of them.”
In addition to the top sales performance, the company’s listings and closed sales also represented strong levels.
“We are hearing so much that is negative about the real estate market in the national media,” says Mickey Fletcher, manager of the Plano office. “The real estate market is such a local thing that the much of the national news being reported does not accurately reflect the Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding markets. We have found our 2008 market to be strong even though requiring a little more creativity and skill.”
Mr. Fletcher attributes the success to several factors.
“Our local economy is strong and is being fueled by good interest rates,” Mr. Fletcher says. “The inventory of available homes is among the best it has been in many years, making it a great time to purchase a home. Our associates are also benefiting from an array of leading technology tools implemented by Coldwell Banker that are helping our associates excel in the current market.”
Since 1906, the Coldwell Banker organization has been a premier provider of full-service real estate. In 2006, Franchise Times magazine’s Top 200 issue ranked the Coldwell Banker system No. 1 in real estate for the seventh straight year and No. 8 among all franchisors. The Coldwell Banker System has more than 3,800 residential real estate offices and 123,700 sales associates in 31 countries and territories.
Coldwell Banker Apex Realtors has received local and national recognition as a top-producing firm, ranking as the 87th largest firm in the U.S. based on the Power Broker Survey. The company has nine offices with the recent addition of the McKinney office and more than 425 associates.

Firm asks local students: What makes your house a home?
To find out the role a home plays in a child’s life, Coldwell Banker Apex Realtors is asking Dallas-Fort Worth students in kindergarten through eighth grade to enter the national Coldwell Banker “My Home: The American Dream” contest.
Developed by Scholastic and Coldwell Banker, the contest asks students to explain, through images or words, how they make where they live home. Children who enter may choose to focus on one of the following subject cues: “How does your home fit into your version of the American Dream?” “What is your family’s heritage, and how do you celebrate it?” and “What have your parents, grandparents and other family members taught you about the meaning of home?”
Entries may be submitted in the form of a short film on DVD or VHS; a storyboard, comic book or series of photographs with text; or an essay accompanied by illustrations.
“This contest has really taught all of us at Coldwell Banker Apex Realtors that our hard work makes an impact in the Dallas-Fort Worth area,” says Lori Arnold, president of the firm.
Three grand prize-winning students will receive $2,000 for excellence in creativity and innovation. Fifty finalists will be awarded $100 prizes. Also an additional category has been created and will award a $250 cash prize to the winning classroom. All entries must be postmarked by Dec. 7, 2007.
Full contest details and official rules will be published in the September 2007 issues of Instructor magazine and on www.scholastic.com/instructor and www.coldwellbanker.com/americandream. The contest is open to residents of the United States who currently attend kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as children in those age ranges who are home-schooled.
